Thermal Transfer Printing

Thermal Transfer Printing Tips: Promotional Clothing.

If you only need to order a few pieces of t-shirts with the company logo, choose thermal transfer printing. The image is machine-printed on a thermal transfer ribbon, cut out of the film and then pressed onto the product using high heat and high pressure. It is especially suitable for printing a company logo on promotional clothing or sportswear. It is also the most favourable printing method for individual souvenirs and small orders. However, compared to silkscreen printing, thermal transfer printing does not allow printing such detailed designs.

Which Products to Choose for Thermal Transfer Printing?

Thermal transfer printing is especially suitable for textile products, work clothes and sportswear, as well as hats. It should be possible to place the press table between the liners. For exmaple:

  • Beanies, cups, hats, scarves and bandanas
  • T-shirts, tops, polo shirts, sportswear
  • Jackets
  • Aprons and oven mitts
  • Messenger bags, backpacks and sports bags
  • Shopping bags and reusables
  • Suitcases and backpack trolleys
  • Picnic blankets
  • Lanyards
  • Mousepads

YES

  • Suitable for printing smaller quantities of textiles with single or multi-colour designs.
  • Allows the printing of detailed designs.
  • A cost-effective solution for personalising products when you need to print different names, numbers, etc. on the product.

ATTENTION!

  • Not suitable for textile products with foam rubber padding (e.g., bags) or soft airy lining. When heated, such material is compressed and the product loses its functionality.
  • The thermal transfer ribbon material can be velvety, glossy, reflective or with a 3D effect, suitable for applying texts or images to the product in an eye-catching way.
